The Hanoi to Halong Bay segment of our Vietnam trip features two World Heritage Sites.  We first visit the ancient city of Hanoi, steeped in history, replete with ancient charm, where museums of art and history abound.  Then we embark for the incomparable beauty of the storied Halong Bay, its striking limestone formations jutting from the sea like a chain of miniature mountains.  We spend several days on a floating hotel while we absorb the mystic feel of the bay. 

You will cycle along ancient paths constructed over 1,000 years ago.  Our expert local guides provide a privileged few, the opportunity to look into a way of life where little has changed in that time. 

Welcome to Saigon, the "Pearl of the Orient"; Also known as Ho Chi Minh City after the "liberation of the people" at the end of the Vietnam War.  Today, the city's core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings. The city bears the marks of many nations, and over its history has been occupied by China, Japan and most notably France.  Many of the hotels in the area are remnants of the French Colonial era and in the 1960s and 70s were the hangouts of American officers and war correspondents.  Museums, parks, botanical gardens, opera houses and theatres make this the cultural center of the country.  Today's Saigon is the bustling symbol of Vietnam’s economic success.

We spend a day touring the city, before heading off for calmer locales.  Saigon deserves an entire week to explore so we leave it for your next adventure.  We begin a journey that transports us into the countryside by small roads and bike paths where we are free to lose ourselves in wonder.

Welcome to the Philippines, a land defined by emerald rice fields, teeming megacities, smoldering volcanoes, bug eyed tarsier monkeys and smiling happy go-lucky people.

The tour of the Visayas islands of the Philippines is our most relaxing adventure.  Our focus is enjoying the island life.  You'll cycle along costal highways overlooking crystal clear waters and inviting white beaches.  Inland you will see lush tropical jungle, teeming with a diversity of species rivaling that of any spot on earth.  You'll spot birds, butterflies and even the beloved bug eyed tarsier, a tiny monkey that has become a national symbol. 

We spend ample time overnighting in beach resorts and making daily excursions.  We offer more free days on this trip so you can spend your time snorkeling, biking or visiting points of interest. 

Cycling in South East Asia contains many wonders.  One of which is actually over the southern boarder into Cambodia.  Our trip will include a visit to Cambodia.  There we will visit World Heritage Site; Angkor Wat the largest Hindu temple complex and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavaman II in the early 12th century in Yasodarapura.
